PROJECT

Brand Strategy - Global identity

Making a French brand global

On the strength of its constant international development since its merger in 2000, BNP Paribas, now the 7th biggest bank in the world, wanted to reinforce its status as a global brand, by raising its brand profile for all communications issued by its 200 subsidiaries.

Since 2008, Seenk has assisted the brand in determining its identity design strategy. Our objective has always been to highlight the BNP Paribas brand vision, whilst still allowing room to express the individual positioning of the group's different core businesses.

Two identity systems were designed to co-exist with the visual landscapes of subsidiary brands: the introduction of a brand block combining the names of subsidiaries with the BNP Paribas logo; and the creation of the "Brand Flag", a speech bubble extending directly from the famous green square, to symbolize the bank's commitment to frank and open dialogue.
